These beautiful oval hooped earrings were inspired by bronze aged designs, specifically the ‘Sussex Loop’ and its ancient connection to the South Downs National Park.
I wanted to create a romantic, spiritual piece of jewellery that reflects our connection to our ancient ancestors.
The earrings are made of sterling silver and bronze sheet metal with ocean blue coloured faceted glass teardrop stones. I have distressed the surface of the bronze to give it an ancient antique patina, then polished the outside edge to showcase the beauty of this ancient bronze alloy. The earrings are deliberately distressed to give them that ancient artifact vibe.
